I’m packing my suitcases: It is time for my beloved New Zealand - again, again 🇳🇿
I was there earlier this year and didn’t really expect to be back quite so soon. But I’m very happy to be going. It is a beautiful part of the world, and there is still so much I would like to see. This will be my trip number five to New Zealand.
Travelling always gives me a little distance from everyday life and work. I notice colours, materials and small details differently, and sometimes they find their way into my knitting later, usually without me really thinking about it at the time.
And New Zealand feels rather special when you love wool as much as I do.
I will, of course, have some knitting in my bag. I haven’t quite decided how much yet, although experience tells me I usually bring more than I need. There is something very nice about having a project with you when travelling, even if you only manage a few rows here and there.
If you are looking for something for your own needles this November, you might like Gudrun, one of my sweater knitting patterns and a lovely project for the colder months.
I’m looking forward to going back, seeing more of the country and finding out what I bring home with me this time.
Happy knitting, Camilla 🧶
