There is something slightly strange, but also quite lovely, about sitting in the summer sun and thinking about wool.

While the days are still long and warm, my needles are already moving towards autumn. I spend these quieter summer days playing with yarn, colours and new ideas, imagining the sweaters and cardigans I will want to wear when the air becomes cooler.

For me, designing new knitting patterns often starts this way. Not with a finished idea, but with a colour I cannot stop thinking about, an interesting texture or simply a feeling I want to turn into something you can wear.

Summer gives me the space to experiment. I find inspiration in the colours and textures around me, in the sea and landscape, and in those quiet moments when there is finally time to let an idea develop.

And although I am designing for autumn, I still want the same things from my knitwear: beautiful details, timeless shapes and pieces you will want to wear again and again.

While summer is still here, I will be sitting with my knitting needles in hand, enjoying the sunshine and quietly dreaming of cooler days.
