Every hand-knit tells a story:
“Last summer we sailed from Sweden, through Limfjorden and up to Hirtshals. There we rented bikes and went up to Tversted and Isager to buy additional yarn for my Magnolia Chunky Cardigan. Well worth the effort!”
A favourite pattern can become something completely personal through the yarn we choose, the colours we combine and, most of all, the people we knit for. Sometimes a sweater begins as a project for ourselves and ends up with someone we love. Sometimes a pattern travels with us, helps us learn something new or becomes one we return to again and again.
Lena Hallin’s Magnolia Chunky Cardigan became part of a summer journey through Scandinavia. While sailing from Sweden through Limfjorden and on to Hirtshals, she realised she needed more yarn to finish it. The solution became a small adventure of its own: renting bikes and cycling to Tversted and Isager to pick up the yarn she needed.
